Michele Theoret

Registered Provisional Psychologist

In my work as a therapist, I help clients shift from just surviving to thriving. My focus is on creating safe trauma-informed spaces; meeting clients where they are at in life; and inspiring a compassionate curiosity about who we are how we might have arrived here, and what else might be possible. I help clients struggling with issues related to stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, parenting, relationships, mood disorders, and chronic illness/pain.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities including mindfulness, yoga, somatic stress relief, compassion-focused therapy, EMDR therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Gottman couples therapy, and narrative techniques in order to support individuals in being more connected, current, and creative in their relationship with themselves and the world.
Inspired by healing, movement, yoga, mindfulness, and psychology, I encourage a compassionate curiosity about who we are and what else might be possible. My offerings shift the narrative from self-improvement and 'should' towards self-care and self-compassion; Wholeness over perfection transforming the way you show up in your body and life.
