Amy Shipley
Canadian Certified Counsellor
I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor with an extensive background in teaching and education. I work primarily with children, youth, and young adults as they navigate a range of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, stress, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, neurodivergence, and the general messiness that comes with being human!
I believe that healing begins with connection. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to be yourself, share your story, and explore what may be getting in the way of living the life you want. I believe that each person has inherent strengths and the capacity for growth, even during difficult or uncertain times.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. I meet each person where they are, honouring their individual experiences and pace. Together, we can explore emotions, build self-understanding and confidence, develop healthy coping strategies, and navigate life's challenges. I draw from person-centred, emotion-focused, strengths-based, and CBT approaches, allowing the counselling process to be shaped by what feels most meaningful and helpful for you.
I am currently accepting online/virtual clients only.
